DH in the Pub: World Cup special

Football mania is sweeping the world as the 2014 FIFA World Cup excitement rages on. So what better topic to ponder and debate in our latest Disability Horizons podcast than football. And it’s not just the World Cup we’re discussing, but access to football if you have a disablilty.

After four long years, it’s time to break out the Samba in celebration of the beautiful game of football returning to its spiritual home in Brazil where the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament kicked off just under a week ago.  Who will win? Are we braced for more penalty heartbreak? Is there ever an end to the controversy? All these questions happen during this frantic month of football.

Fresh from last Friday night’s opening game, Co-editor Martyn Sibley and our social media man, Mark Phillips, get-together in our next DH in the Pub podcast.  Join the guys as they discuss:

  • How they got into football?
  • Accessing home and away games
  • A bizarre take on football hooliganism
  • World Cup memories
  • Mark’s Disability 5 a side team. Intrigued? Listen in and get involved with the #DisabilityFIVE on Twitter to let us know who makes your team and why.

We’d love to hear your football stories, so get in touch with us on Twitter – tweet at @DHorizons with the hashtag #DHinthepub – Facebook, or in the comments below.
